Kevin’s Reflections:   What would I do if I knew that God would add 15 years to the end of my life?  I wonder if I would relax and think about how much time I have left, or would I realize that I have only 15 years left, and try to make the most of it?  Father Hembrow, our parish priest, often says that the hands of time go around only once.  Such a true saying, one that makes me wonder why I waste time?  That is the one thing in life we cannot make any more of, and only God knows how much time we have here on earth.  So why do we waste time with our own pursuits?  The truth is that everything is God’s, so whatever we do, as long as we are offering it to God, can bring holiness to our everyday lives.  Everything we do in a day can be a part of our path to sanctity if we pray and offer our joys and sufferings to God; He will bless us and allow all of our pursuits to work out as He wants them to.  That is the key:  we have to be willing to allow ourselves to realize and accept that God is in control, and let Him guide us every moment of the day.  So I am going to pray for the grace to make the most of today, offering everything to God!
