04 Apr God provides (Ps 69:33-34) by Robyn Steinbrueck
Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Leaders. Guest Authors.
“I will praise the name of God in song, and I will glorify him with thanksgiving: “See, you lowly ones, and be glad;
you who seek God, may your hearts revive! For the LORD hears the poor, and his own who are in bonds he spurns not.” ~ Psalm 69:33-34 (full readings)

Robyn’s Reflections: Today is our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Like any marriage, we have had many joys, tribulations, and challenges. One of our greatest challenges was in 2007 when we learned of our daughter’s unplanned pregnancy with twins. There are many emotions you go through as a parent in this situation, but the one thing I was always certain of was that abortion never even crossed her mind. Sadly, many girls in this situation would have never even told their parents. I am so thankful that my daughter chose life and gave our family the blessing of two precious little boys who are now almost four years old! This not only brought us closer as a family, but it helped us to see that God truly does provide for all of our needs! For this I continually praise and glorify God!

Faith Challenge: When the families where I teach learned of my daughter’s pregnancy, they generously helped with the basics, cribs, clothing, diapers, etc. People were so willing to help. On many occasions I was asked, “What can I do to help?” Not once did I hear condemnation. When others are in situations that present challenges, how do you respond? Do you help to build a “culture of life” through your words and actions?

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will & His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (& family): Abortion (images) is #1 death cause (23% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 & Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers & re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
