“So when he had washed their feet and put his garments back on and reclined at table again, he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you?“ ~ Jn 13:12 (full readings)

Kristina’s Reflections: As Christians, do we think about what Jesus has truly done for us? Our Lord became man, took on our human flesh and was brutally killed because of our sins. Jesus knew what was going to happen to him – he knew he would have to suffer the pain of betrayal, the nails in his hands and feet, the struggle for breath as he hung on the cross. Yet the night before he died, knowing all of this, he still chose to wash the feet of his disciples, the master kneeling in front of the slave, setting a beautiful example of how we are to imitate him. The enormous love Jesus has for us is astounding, and he calls us to follow in his path. How are we serving others in our daily lives? Do we pray for others, say a kind word or rather hold our tongue when needed? Are we patient, especially with our families? Do we love our enemies and pray for those who are misguided, especially those who work in abortion clinics? Our dignity as humans comes from having been made in the image and likeness of God – each one of us. Every person you meet has this dignity. How will you imitate Christ and serve someone today?

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will and His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (and families): Abortion (images) is #1 death cause (22% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 and Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers and re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
