“Brothers and sisters: We are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” ~ 2 Cor 5:20 (full readings)

Jeff’s Reflections:  On Ash Wednesday, we are given a visible reminder of our sins and our short time on this Earth.  While the ashes present a visible sign today of our sins, we should be mindful of our need for repentance to God every day of our lives.  Likewise, we should always be mindful of the sorrow and sinfulness of abortion in our world.  One way we can do that is by being a visual reminder to our world that we will never forget the unborn.  We wear the LIFE Runner apparel reminding people to “Remember the Unborn.”  We are sent as ambassadors for Christ, to act as Jesus would and deliver His message to the world.  Calling our brothers and sisters to recognize the sanctity of every life is part of that message.  As the A-Cross America Relay begins today, we can use it as a way to spread this message and participate in this event by truly going forth as ambassadors for Christ all across our country.  Each day let us act as Christ’s messengers in following the path which has been illuminated for us by God, whether it be on a leg of the relay or in doing our daily activities with great love.
