02 Aug Be like the Apostles (Mt 13:57)
A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house. ~ Mt. 13:57
.
Reflection: In Baptism we began a life of supernatural participation in the life of Jesus – and with it, His role of prophet. Sometimes we fare well when speaking out for the unborn, and at other times not. We must not be shocked by the negative encounters; it has always been the lot of the prophet, the lot of Christ’s disciples.

Challenge: Wear your “REMEMBER The Unborn – Jer 1:5” jersey to impact hearts and minds for saving lives. If you face opposition, imitate the Apostles by letting the first words out of your mouth be joyful thanksgiving (Acts 5:41) that you have been given the HONOR of participating in Jesus’ mission and suffering disgrace for His Name.

Inspiration: “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~ Mt 5:11-12
