05 Feb Believe, Repent and be Saved Through the Mercy of God (Mk 6:7) by Ed Heigl
“Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits.” ~ Mk 6:7 (full readings)
.
Ed’s Reflections: “And He summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits; and He instructed them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a mere staff–no bread, no bag, no money in their belt.” Jesus asks His disciples to travel in faith and to trust in Him and all will be well. As LIFE Runners/Walkers we also travel in faith carrying our faith to others and sometimes we are not welcomed, but often we help bring others closer to Him by helping to change hearts, minds, and souls by our witness to His divine love and mercy. We walk in the footsteps of the Apostles when we do this as we too are being sent to evangelize the world.
