Chris’ Reflections:  This past winter I led a bible study at church, the Best Yes by Lysa Terkeurst. The basis behind the book is learning when you should say yes and when you need to say no to situations. Something I had not realized about her until I read the book; apparently she had an abortion and wrote about it. She was at a book signing and two women approached her, showed her a photo of a young man and said he is alive today because of your words. Her daughter had read a story about the heartbreak of her abortion. Her husband was the preacher of a small church and after learning their teen daughter was pregnant they felt ashamed. They felt the best solution was an abortion, but after reading an article about what she went through they asked to meet with her to talk. After talking with her they chose to honor God rather than hide it. The following week they stood before the congregation and told them the truth. Thanks to Lysa for knowing the right choice was to write the article that would someday impact someone’s life. God will nudge you when He is calling you to do something, it’s up to you to be willing to hear and follow what you are asked to do.
