15 Nov Blessed are They (Mt 5:6,11-12) by Allan Parker
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. ~ Mt 5:6, 11-12
.
Reflection: These grace-filled words from our Lord and Savior’s lips are especially applicable to the Pro-Life movement. All of us long for the day when Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton will be overturned. We hunger and thirst for the day when children in the womb and mothers and fathers are protected by law from those who would inflict an unjust death upon them and their family. We long for the day when evil will no longer be called good, but right thinking and right laws will prevail according to God’s word. We may even be insulted and persecuted in the short run because of our love and faith in Jesus. So we pray for the day that legalized abortion will be ended, and our “covenant with death will be annulled, our agreement with the grave will not stand” (Is 28:18).
.
Challenge: “Do not worry… but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” ~ Mt 6:31-33
.
Pray LIFE Runners Creed to end abortion. Add Prayers.

Inspiration: “I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the level; Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters will overflow the secret place. Your covenant with death will be canceled, and your pact with Sheol will not stand; When the overwhelming scourge passes through, then you become its trampling place.” ~ Is 28:17-18
