“I am the LORD your God who grasp your right hand; It is I who say to you, “Fear not, I will help you.” ~ Is 41:13 (full readings)
.
Peggy’s Reflections: I have often heard that “Fear not,” or “Be not afraid,” is the most repeated phrase in the Bible. What a comforting thought in these difficult times we face in our nation! Our religious freedom is uncertain, and our efforts to protect the unborn seem to have suffered many setbacks after the recent election. Yet we know that God always brings something good out of something evil. We must not be discouraged but, with childlike confidence, reach out for God’s right hand and trust that He will guide us in the right direction. He promised he would help! It is now more important than ever that we redouble our efforts to bring back a culture of life. Pray that God will show you how you can be a pro-life advocate, then be sure to listen closely for the answer. Whatever it may be, find comfort in those oft-repeated words, “Fear not!”

Faith Challenge: Strengthen your resolve to be a voice for the unborn who cannot speak for themselves. If there is no pro-life group in your parish, then start one yourself. You might also pledge to donate money to a pro-life group each month for the upcoming year. Another idea is to pray a Rosary every week for an end to abortion.
