Fr. Joseph’s Reflections:  God has set before us “life and prosperity, death and doom” (Dt 30:15). Loving God and choosing to run in His paths with the speed of love and charity, at a pace of prayer and conversion of heart makes us true LIFE Runners.  Refusing to listen to the Word of Life is death to one’s soul, and rejecting to put into practice the wisdom of Salvation is a cause of doom to one’s heart.  Before we take part in strenuous running, disciplining the desires of our flesh, let us first exercise in the field of Life, choosing to drink from a common cup of love, resting in God’s ways and abiding by His voice and holding fast to His truth, so that we may win the crown of eternal Life.  The passion and the burning desire for Life in our hearts may be patterned in the grace of God.
Fr. Joseph Oganda is a priest from Kenya serving in the diocese of Belleville, IL.
