Rich’s Reflections:  In the Gospel today, the rich man from the netherworld begs Abraham to send Lazarus from the dead to warn his five brothers, so that they may not follow the path of life which led him to his place of torment.  Abraham then replies that if they do not listen to Moses and the prophets that they will not be convinced from someone from the dead.  In the U.S., more than 1.3 million unborn babies are killed in abortions each year.  Thousands of active pro-lifers are trying to convince others of the truth about abortion, but their message falls upon many deaf ears.  What is it going to take to get across to those who ignore the plea of the unborn?  Hundreds of crisis pregnancy centers attempt to warn women of the impacts of abortion.  Many times it is not a voice from the dead that provides the convincing truth, but an image of the unborn life within them from the ultrasound.  Do not be discouraged.  Continue to be the convincing voice of truth to those who cannot speak for themselves.
