Reflection:  Job feels abandoned by God as he has lost his family and all that he owns.  He questions why he was even born.  Let us remember those who are struggling with their faith, the elderly who feel abandoned by their families, and the mother’s who are with child and are being pressured to end the life of their unborn child.  Like Job, who does not lose his faith in God, we are called to help the elderly know that Jesus has not abandoned them.  To remind them that they are loved and are not a burden, that their lives have been an important example of how we should live our lives.  Like Job, who was rewarded for his faith in God, let us show mothers the gifts that their children will bring to them, and to remind them that they have help.  Let us not lose souls who are in fear, but with God’s help, bring them back to Him who has died for their (and our) sins.

Challenge:  Thank those who work so hard to protect mothers and their unborn children through Pregnancy Care Centers, through Pro-Life Organizations, and through the Church.
