08 Jul Eyes to See (Ps 115:5) by Paula Parmalee
“They have mouths but do not speak, eyes but do not see.” ~ Ps 115:5 (full readings)

Paula’s Reflections: Many of us have friends, family members and co-workers who fail to speak up for the right to life of the pre-born child. Frequently, for whatever reason, people are blind to the reality of abortion. Their silence gives acquiescence to the daily sentence of abortion to 3,300 of our defenseless unborn in the womb. Their failure to use their hands and feet to give daily witness is a failure to recognize the dignity of all human life from conception until natural death. But each one of us were afflicted to some degree with the same blindness. And then had an epiphany, an awakening of the need, to defend the God given rights of the child in the womb and with it that conversion of heart that demands a response to answer the call to serve those who have no voice. It became our own fiat. The moment in time we signed on as a LIFE Runner. We as LIFE Runners have been blessed with sight to see how the culture of death supports the killing of an innocent child in the womb. We have ears to hear the heart wrenching cries of our brothers and sisters who have died from abortion and of mothers who have suffered the pains of abortion. And we have nostrils sickened by the stench of the killing of our most vulnerable members of society. We are blessed with the courage and fortitude to use our voices to give witness to those without a voice, the child in the womb. We must then always be willing to go to the vineyard to labor and toil and use our hands and our feet with a willingness to risk rejection and isolation as we pray, fundraise, run/walk as a Team until we Cross the finish line that ends abortion. Our witness must be a joyful witness as we “REMEMBER The Unborn” Jer 1:5 in our LR gear. May we be the catalyst to give sight to those with eyes but do not see and be a gentle voice to those who do not hear as we encourage others to take action and to join us on our mission as we run as a Prayer with Endurance and for Awareness, so that our culture will view all human life as a reflection of God’s glory and to provide Charity for the abortion minded and healing support for those who are post-abortive so that we may finish strong and Cross the finish line that Ends abortion.

Faith Quote: “Don’t be afraid to dream of a more just world; to ask, to seek, and to enhance. You know that faith is not an inheritance that we receive from others, faith is not a product that one buys, but is a response of love that we give freely and we build daily with patience, through success and failure.” ~ Pope Francis
