Rich’s Reflections:  Today’s reading is devoted to St. Paul’s defense of his apostleship.  Traveling evangelists demeaned Paul’s apostleship to build up their own ministries.  Today, Pro-Life Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) are under attack by various pro-abortion organizations.  There are approximately 2,200 PRCs in the U.S., which primarily serve pregnant women and mothers of infants, do not provide abortions, and do not charge for their services.  The abortion industry opposes Pro-Life PRCs, because they are bad for their business, which is primarily based on providing abortions. PRCs are often called “fake clinics”, but not all PRCs are clinics and do not pretend to be.  PRCs provide numerous social services, including parenting classes, options counseling, baby supplies, and other financial aid.  Some PRCs are licensed clinics working under the direction of an M.D.  PRCs can provide a variety of medical services to include ultrasounds, on-site prenatal exams, and STD testing.  Pro-Life PRCs are treated as deceivers, but yet they provide the truth about the horrors of abortion.  They do not seek to make money from the crises of pregnant women, but seek only to serve women and provide a viable option for both the mother and child.
