[Friday] Fighting God (Acts 5:38-39) by Scott Casmer

10 Apr [Friday] Fighting God (Acts 5:38-39) by Scott Casmer

But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them; you may even find yourselves fighting against God. ~ Acts 5:39
.
Reflection:  The Sanhedrin were deciding how to punish the Apostles after they had repeatedly shared the word of God through public teaching.  They were charged with being false prophets.  Gamaliel warned the rest of the Sanhedrin that it may be best not to punish the Twelve since, if they were actually doing God’s inspired work, they would potentially be fighting God.  Those who fight against the Pro-Life movement are fighting against God.  While doing sidewalk advocacy at Carhart’s abortion facility in Bellevue NE, an escort gave Angi Castle the middle finger as a greeting.  Angi responded by greeting the escort by name, with a smile, and invited her to attend the Unplanned movie together.  The escort declined the invitation but was visually impacted by the genuine gesture and wished Angi a good day.  Let’s meet our lost brothers and sisters with compassion and love them to the Pro-Life side, welcome them to our team, God’s team.

Challenge: Compassionately educate those who may be unknowingly fighting against God.  Share these Life Facts.  Perhaps somebody who is wearing a Komen shirt does not know that they fund abortion leader Planned Parenthood (Komen statement).  Invite them to wear a truly Pro-Life shirt, a LIFE Runners jersey.  National Pro-Life Shirt Day is Friday, Apr 12th – wear your “REMEMBER The Unborn” jersey!
.
Pray to end abortion (Creed).  Witness with “REMEMBER The Unborn” gear (Order).  Give jerseys to Students and Missions (once or monthly).  Thank You!
.
Inspiration:
“When we show abortion supporters who we really are, as individuals and as a movement, it is attractive.  It breaks the negative stereotypes, and it conveys that we who reject abortion do not reject those who support abortion.  They are not the enemy; they are captive to the enemy.  And we want to free them.” ~ Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life
