Amy’s Reflection: In today’s gospel reading, Jesus is preparing his disciples for his return to the Father. He has promised to send them an Advocate, the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells His disciples that the Advocate will testify to Him, and He encourages His disciples to do the same. Christ sent the Holy Spirit to bring wisdom and courage to His apostles so they could proclaim His words without fear. We, too, are called to testify to Jesus; He who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus wants His Pro-Life disciples in the current culture of death to stand strong to advocate for the most helpless of all human life. We are reminded by the Lord’s words today that we have the Holy Spirit within each of us to keep us strong in our fight for Life. Let us go forth with our heads held high as we stand, walk, run and testify for all human Life.
