The Lord took away his sins, making his strength ever greater; he gave him a royal covenant, and a glorious throne in Israel.~ Sirach 47:11 (full readings)
.
Grant’s Reflections:   In today’s readings we are told about David’s life and where his strength comes from. We are reminded as children of God where we should also get our strength for the journey. May we continue on our walk with God as our compass and seek to have our life centered around Him. We must call on Him in prayer for guidance, direction and strength. In our lives we encounter difficulties, speed bumps, and the influence of the world we live in that we are called to be a part of. With the Spirit that dwells in each one of us we are called to be strong in our faith and trust of a Loving and Merciful God. Let us be strong as David was, and be filled with the strength and spirit of our Lord to go forward to proclaim the good news, and help the needy and less fortunate. Let us be a light in the world and help those considering abortion, pray daily for those who are feeling distressed, trapped, and without hope.
