“Do you not know that if you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?” ~ Rom 6:16 (full readings)

Molly’s Reflections:   In today’s reading from Romans, this verse struck me hard.  Every time I am out witnessing in front of a Planned Parenthood, watching the volunteers, most with smiles on their faces, or others with an annoyed attitude that we are there, it always makes me ask the question; “How can they be happily opening the door and ushering woman in, giving them over to a “doctor” to kill the life of their innocent unborn child?”  At the same time that I am asking myself this question, I come back to prayer and realize that this is the difference…faith…God!  It is so easy to always want to look onto the PP volunteers/staff/doctors with an attitude of “they should know better,” but in reality they can’t know better until they are open to the truth from our Lord Jesus Christ.  They have all become victims and slaves to the lies and evil of PP.  We need to continue to pray for these people.  There is hope and we are reminded of this hope when we hear the great news of another PP worker leaving (Abby Johnson’s ministry – And Then There Where None) or another facility closing.  In the end we are all trying to avoid sin and get to heaven, but in the process we have to help those who are in the “dark” at this time and bring them to the light of Life!
