Welcome God now with this LIFE Runners Devotion (FB) provided by Team Leaders and Guest Authors.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” ~ Jn 1:1 (full readings)

Pastor Rick’s Reflections: As Christians, we know faith is built off the foundation of the Word of God. We must understand that God and His Word are the same. The Bible tells us, if we ask anything according to His Word then it will be done. This is our firm foundation that brings us beyond mental assent into truly believing that God will do what He said He would do. Our confidence rests firmly upon knowing that His “Truth” (The Word) has the power to override “facts,” when mixed with faith. The word salvation is based off the Greek word, “soultera,” which gives meaning to being whole and lacking nothing. If God has provided all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), then how are we reflecting God’s truth and goodness in our lives? Often the brightest light we can shine to influence others is for them to see answered prayer in our lives. That influence becomes very important when the message of Pro-Life is shared with others. The world needs to see the integrity of His Word beyond our cause, in all areas of our life. As LIFE Runners, we know the power of scripture as a sure foundation for Pro-Life. We know God’s Will in this area according to multiple references of being formed in the womb. His Word must continue to be the first and final authority in our lives.

Faith Challenge: So what are you believing for? What scripture are you standing on and speaking daily as a part of your prayer time? We can certainly agree with each other in prayer, but the ultimate agreement must start with His Word. As we begin a new year, I would encourage all of us to find a scripture that aligns with our prayers. Death and Life are in the power of the tongue and we know God will hear and answer our prayers when we pray according to His Will.
