You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost, but you lorded it over them harshly and brutally.  So they were scattered for the lack of a shepherd, and became food for all the wild beasts.”

Kathy’s Reflections:  The Scripture above would be a fitting rebuke for those who promote abortion in their clinics.  We know that the “sheep” who go to these places to seek abortions are truly lost and have strayed.  Many of them can blame the lack of a shepherd who should have taught them that abortion should be unthinkable and is wrong.  These “sheep” have lack of a shepherd and have become the fodder for the abortion industry.  As I watched women going into the abortion clinic in Columbia Mo, I saw many of them have the look of defeat, the sadness, and the bitterness as they walked slowly into the place that would take their child and a part of them for money.  The places of abortion do lord it over the women who come to them.  They are treated like sheep and worse.  At Columbia, Mo Planned Parenthood, there was no clock, no water, and their phones are taken from them.  They sit and wait like sheep to the slaughter.  But there is hope and  Ez 34:10-11  says:  “I will save my sheep, that they may no longer be food for their mouths.  For thus says the Lord GOD:  I myself will look after and tend my sheep. ”  Are we not all the body of Christ?  Are we called to shepherd as Christ shepherded?  Are we not given the Word and the words to look after and tend God’s sheep?  As we do our best to be Christ-like at the abortion facility, God does use us to shepherd His sheep and save them from the sin of abortion.  If we don’t show up, God cannot shepherd through us.  Think about it, when was the last time you showed up?  If you knew the exact time and place where babies were going to die, would you show up and how many would you bring with you?
Kathy Forck is the campaign co-director with her husband, Mike Forck of the Columbia, MO 40 Days for Life.  They have four children and seven grandchildren.  They strategize with other Missourians to end abortion in their state as they seek God’s will.  TEAM PLAY is the acronym for Prayer, Legislation, Activism and YOU that was developed from this strategy.  Mike and Kathy have coordinated the Midwest March for Life in Jefferson City since January of 2011 which brings together the Midwestern states.   Kathy joined LIFE Runners as a walker–Pat Castle said more people can read the message that way!

Faith Challenge:  Before we know it, it will be time for the Fall 40 Days for Life at the Planned Parenthood in Columbia, MO  and many other places.  LIFE Runners run and pray every Wednesday at Columbia PP.  Can you give of your precious time the gift of shepherding at an abortion facility during the 40 Days?  How about starting now?  As you wear your LIFE Runner shirt, the whole world sees, “Remember the unborn, Jer 1-5.”
