11 Aug In Service of the Gospel (2 Cor 9:6) by Fr. Michael Orsi
“The more you sow, the more you reap.” ~ 2 Cor 9:6
.
Reflection: Putting oneself in the service of the Gospel is the charge that Christ gives all the baptized. This is especially true in regard to our responsibility for the protection of human life. Because every human being is made in the image and likeness of God, Jesus is clear of our obligation toward the poor. This is especially true for preservation of the life of unborn babies! In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians Saint Paul reminds us that we will reap what we sow. This, the apostle says will gain for us a rich reward. Just think of the lives that are being saved through the Pro-Life Ministry! Our efforts and success in saving the life of the innocent may never be known to us or them in this life. But when all is revealed at the end of time our good deeds will be remembered. Let us run the race and win the prize of eternal life!
.
Challenge: Put yourself in the service of the Gospel today by doing something tangible to protect the innocent, poor, and unborn.

Pray LIFE Runners Creed to end abortion.
.
Inspiration: “…And [God will] make the harvest of your good deeds a larger one, and, made richer in every possible circumstance, and still have something to spare for all sorts of good works.” ~ 2 Cor 9:8
