Ron’s Reflections: We hear in today’s Gospel Jesus’ words “For just as the Father raises the dead and gives life so also does the Son give life to whomever he wishes.” Jesus came precisely to give life to a dying world stained by sin. His sacrifice on that Good Friday gave us the opportunity to have life abundantly, that which is eternal. Are we making the most out of our life? God asks us to give ourselves for the sole purpose to do his will. He is a jealous God who wants us united to him. Don’t miss the opportunity each day to echo these words, “I come to do your will.” It beats the alternative.
