Peggy’s Reflections:  Those of us who are pro-life must constantly fight the battle of despair and negative thoughts that the word “abortion” brings to our hearts.  Sometimes it seems like our efforts are in vain. Yet Jesus told us that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  Right now!  It is truly a treasure and a joy to discover.  We can see glimpses of this kingdom in the pro-life movement:  the conversion of abortion workers, the babies who are saved, the new friends we meet at sidewalk vigils, the victories in courts, and new life-affirming laws. We know how this will all turn out in the end. Heaven is on our side, and our prayers, fasting and hard work to bring about a culture of life can only enrich the kingdom.
