[1st Wed!] Knit in Our Mother’s Womb (Ps 139:13) by Dr. Vost

03 Oct [1st Wed!] Knit in Our Mother’s Womb (Ps 139:13) by Dr. Vost

you knit meTruly you have formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb.  ~ Ps 139:13
.
Reflection:  God has knit us in our mother’s womb.  He knows us and He loves us.  Verse five of this psalm proclaims as well:  “Behind and before you encircle me and rest your hand upon me.”  Every one of us was once encircled, encompassed within our mother’s wombs while God knitted our selves into being. Our mothers lovingly rested their hands upon their swollen bellies that encircled us.  May the words of this psalm enflame our souls and inspire us to serve and protect every child that God so carefully knits.
