Mary Ellen’s Reflections: So many readings in the Bible, speak of “the light”–God’s light.  We believers of our dear Lord know that we have been called into this light.  Genesis 1:3 says “Let there be light.”  In His creation, God gave us the sun for warmth and light.  When the days shorten and winter arrives, the plants on my patio are placed in a south window of my dining room.  The plants automatically grow toward the light.  This is what God wants for all of us.  We’re to turn toward His light which reveals the truth, love, faith and hope of our life in Him.  In the darkness, the culture of death lives.  We pray that the abortionists, nurses, employees and victims of the abortion industry have a change of heart so that they may walk in the light of Christ.
* Mary Ellen has been married to Steve for over 32 years and is the mother of Andy and Stephanie.  She is also the Pro-Life director at St. Mary Church in Belleville, IL.  Her greatest joy is visiting family at the nursing home.
