26 Apr Love and Pride (Acts 13:33) by Shane Kapler
Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Leaders. Guest Authors.
“You are my Son, today I have begotten you.” ~ Acts 13:33; Ps 2:7 (full readings)
Shane’s Reflections: Moved by the Holy Spirit, St. Paul applied the words of Psalm 2 to Jesus at His resurrection. That was the moment His human nature was fully introduced into the glory of His eternal Sonship and rule of the universe. Can’t you feel the pride and love in God the Father’s heart as He beheld Jesus’ body and soul born to eternal life? He wants every father and mother to share His love and pride when they look upon their children.

Faith Challenge: It is possible to get so involved in our church work and Pro-Life efforts that we sometimes neglect to give our own little ones our undivided attention when they ask for it. If you have been a little out of balance of late, take a night completely off from “ministry” to shower God the Father’s love upon the children you have begotten.
