The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. Luke 1:53

Living Faith snippets: “God is not distant, but moves through our lives in the most personal of ways. God also speaks to the world in words far from neutral or detached. The broken and forgotten are lifted up. Those secure in their own sufficiency are strangely empty.” by Jeanne Schuler

Rich’s comments: Today’s feast day is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary is presented to us as a perfect example of how we are called to give ourselves totally to God for His plan. She encourages us to trust in the tremendous power of God. That if we allow ourselves to be fully open to God’s presence in our lives, He can do amazing things through us. Lord, I offer myself to You today and every day. I trust in Your awesome power to use me to do Your will. Amen.
