“Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name; make known among the peoples his deeds!  Recall the wondrous deeds he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered.” ~ (Ps 105:1,5) (full readings)

Tess’ Reflections:  In today’s Psalm we are urged to make known the Lord’s deeds.  As LIFE Runners, every time we put on our LIFE Runners jersey we make known to others the Lord’s deeds in terms of the beauty of His creation and the sanctity of all human life.  I truly believe that the work/purpose of LIFE Runners is a “deed” of the Lord that is newsworthy!  So, when Dr. Pat Castle asked me to make YouTube videos to document the 2013 A-Cross The Country Relay, I was glad to say yes.  While making them and sorting though the photos and videos, it was so EASY to recall our Lord’s “wondrous deeds.”  I saw the kind and genuine smiles of these LIFE Runners I didn’t even know in many other parts of the country.  I learned that some of the LIFE Runners traveled to other states to complete unclaimed legs of the relay.  Leaders in the LIFE Runners devoted hours upon hours to organizing the relay.  In every face in every photo was embedded the LIFE Runners Prayer:  “…We run as a Prayer, that children in the womb may be protected…”  Again, we are told in this Psalm to give thanks, to invoke His name, and to make known His deeds among the peoples.  Keep at it LIFE Runners, for even though the race is long, with our eyes fixed on the Lord, we can do ALL in CHRIST, for Pro-Life!

Faith Challenge:  Continue to make known the sanctity of all human life.  Wear your Pro-Life jersey to the grocery store.  Review what happens during each week of prenatal development so that you can be knowledgable when you are asked.  Check out the website of your local pregnancy resource center and pray about how the Lord might use you to help their efforts.
