“The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” ~ Rom 5:5 (full readings)
.
Shane’s Reflections: Today is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in which we celebrate God loving us not only with a Divine Heart, but a human heart. And through the Holy Spirit, this divine and human love has been poured into our souls – that through Jesus we can make a return of ourselves to the Father and pour ourselves out in acts of service to brothers and sisters. We have been given the dear privilege of sharing both Jesus’ longing and pain in searching for the lost, as well as His joy at seeing them reconciled to the Father (Lk 15:4-7).
