Rich’s Reflections:  Obedience is one of the ways that we express our love to God.  Through our obedience, Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:32) and reveals Himself to us (Jn 14:21).  Sin and death entered the world through disobedience, but salvation entered the world through Jesus’ obedience.  Sometimes I find it difficult to do the things that I know that Jesus wants me to do.  I can feel the Holy Spirit tugging me towards the right path resulting in an inner struggle with my selfishness.  It is not until I die to myself  and become obedient to Christ do I feel His love for me.  Obedience is the essence of Christianity.  It is one of the most important ways of imitating Christ, because He was obedient to the point of dying on the cross.  Obedience is a way of life and the way of love.  Obey to love, and love to obey.
