“We must obey God rather than men.” ~ Acts 5:29 (full readings)
Lara’s Reflections: There are many alluring messages and promises in this world and all kinds of leaders offering us “good things.” Even Planned Parenthood-St. Louis has a sign on the side of the building that says “Someone you know relies on Planned Parenthood.” Planned Parenthood is teaching our society every day. Yet their teaching is leading to deep wounds and death. Planned Parenthood tells women if you do not put your own goals, wants, and hopes first your life will be destroyed. The first commandment tells us to always love God first even before yourself. Planned Parenthood has built a “kingdom” based on disobedience to God’s will. Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. Hitler’s “kingdom” was not of heaven but of earth. As the Church of Christ we are to be in this world but not of the world. Our society does not like obedience but glorifies being a rebel. Jesus always sought to know and be obedient to His Father in Heaven. Saints lead us to God through their obedience to His will. Distractions are many but with the grace of God we can choose obedience and thus attain unity with Him.

* Pray/Fast: Prayer connects us with God’s will and His miracles, changing us & helping others. Fast from things that take your eyes off Jesus. Those who pray together stay together, and close to God!
* Save Unborn (and families): Abortion (images) is #1 death cause (22% pregnancies). Prov 24:11 and Jer 1:5. “A great poverty that a child must die that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa.
* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers and re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
