Reflection:
Love is a sacrifice.  The image I think of on Good Friday is the image from the movie “The Passion of the Christ” in which,  seconds after Jesus dies on the cross, the black clouds rolling in, the earthquake, and the overcast desolation of the land.  One neighboring community had its church steeple whisked away from a tornado during a Good Friday evening service in 2011; and many lost their homes. Some of the members of that church could write a better devotion.  They know what it means to be physically pierced with flying debris and seeing shadows, destruction, and despair all around them. Perhaps many of you have witnessed similar destruction and despair in your life. Or maybe a loved one had an abortion or experienced similar despair under other circumstances. While I have not lived through massive destruction, Jesus, in His infinite mercy, picked up the pieces in my broken life over 30 years ago and put me back together.  He even bound the cracks that have come up over the past few decades. He can make all things new. We believe that the Third Day is coming.

Challenge:  After you attend a Good Friday service, make some time with family/friends to go in front of an abortion facility to pray for and “REMEMBER The Unborn.”  Love is a sacrifice.

Pray LIFE Runners Creed to end abortion.  Love is a sacrifice.
