Chris’ Reflections:  I find Psalms to be inspirational and uplifting when I’m struggling through difficult times.  The Lord will guard you from all evil.  God is always with you looking after you.  As Pro-Life advocates, evil is around every corner to discourage us and make us want to give up.  We pray for moms to choose life and for the unborn.  We also need to pray for our teammates, because our teammates who strive the most are the biggest targets.  Life Runner-of-the-Year, Ed Heigl, fights the battle against cancer daily, and he never gives up, always carrying the flag proudly.  Dan, who has been such a big voice for St. Louis Life Runners, is battling cancer now as well.  For these men and for all the others out there, be in constant prayer for our teammates for encouragement, strength and wisdom.  “I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Cor 12:10)  I bookmarked this verse to remind myself things were not meant to be easy.  The fight for the unborn isn’t easy, but we will never quit that fight.
