Stacey’s Reflections: Pray, Pray, Pray and Obey, Obey, Obey- this is the simple formula for a Christ-follower! I love this passage of scripture (Mt 6) as it simply lays out how we are to pray. The Lord’s prayer is strategic.  It demonstrates that we are to honor God (v9), asking Him to bring His will to earth as it is in Heaven (v10), declaring our trust in Him for our livelihood each day through provision (v11), continued humility through acknowledging sin in our lives and asking His forgiveness and surrendering our right to be offended at others who have sinned against us (v12). We ask for His protections and deliverance regarding the schemes of the devil who tries to attack, distract and bring evil into our lives (v13).  Prayer is the key to overturning Roe! Our running (in my case walking) prayers are heard by our living God.  God replies by giving strategic answers and wisdom on how to overcome evil with TRUTH and LOVE! Our praying for those who are deceived in this industry, that they would be delivered from the hand of the enemy, as in the case of Abby Johnson, will bring the sin of abortion, as an American right, to an END! I recommit to praying this prayer each morning as I rise…will you join me? If Jesus said it is the way to Pray…I want to OBEY!
