Prospering for God (Ps 1:3-4) by Kevin McNicholas

14 Dec Prospering for God (Ps 1:3-4) by Kevin McNicholas

godHe is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does, prospers. ~ Ps 1:3-4

Reflection: Ever meet one of those people who seem like everything they touch turns to gold?  Everything they try turns out just right? Well, none of us is perfect, of course, and I think that if we look within, really and truly look, we may find that what we do prospers more than we realize. We are often our own worst critics, and of course, no person can prosper for long under their own power. It is the Hand of God that prospers our work, our families, our churches, and our lives entire. We can be those people who are prospering by entirely devoting our lives and our work to God.  This is the true definition of success. People will see us and think, “I want what that person has.  What is different about them?” Christianity.  Faith in God.  That is the answer.  It is what sets us apart and gives us the ability to positively influence others through our lives and work.  Indeed, what other purpose is there to our lives other than to serve God?
.
Challenge: Identify an area of your life that may not be prospering for God, and work today especially to devote that area entirely to God. You will be blessed with the results, and the results that God creates through you will bless others!
