“He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.”
~ Jn 15:2 (full readings)

Ed’s Reflections:  The non-productive parts of our life must be cut away so that the fruits of our good works may be brought forth. Pruning away the parts of our life which do not produce sometimes involve real sacrifice of our will and even suffering.  Looking at the lives of the Saints gives us many  examples of imperfect individuals who were open to God’s will in their lives and who allowed Him to prune their lives, and from this pruning by God, they bore much fruit and became examples to all of how we should live our  lives. We too in our ordinary lives can accomplish extraordinary things through Jesus if we stay connected and draw our strength through Him. Today more than ever our Faith is being attacked by the evil of the culture of death. The enemy knows that he is running out of time.  We must be steadfast in our faith to always bear witness to Life and to this God given gift. Wearing the Life Runners shirt is very powerful and you are changing hearts, minds and souls by this very simple but courageous act.
