17 Nov Rev 4:11 (your choice?)
Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (archive, Facebook).
“Worthy are you, Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things; because of your will they came to be and were created.” Rev 4:11 (full readings)
Pat’s Reflections: As we gaze upon the awesomeness of creation (sunrise, newborn baby, etc)…shouldn’t that be enough for us to recognize God and say, “wow, thank you, Lord!” As appointed stewards of His creation and keepers of His children, He gave us free will to choose between polluting or cleaning, speaking Truth or telling lies, hurting or hugging, building or breaking, embracing or aborting, hating life or loving life, Christ or the World, eternal Life or eternal death. In the LIFE Group, we choose Christ…He first chose us…for eternal Life! Let’s sing…”I will choose Christ, I will choose love, I choose to serve…”

Feast Day: St. Elizabeth of Hungary. “In her short life Elizabeth manifested such great love for the poor and suffering that she has become the patroness of Catholic charities.”
Faith Quote: “Today, there is an inescapable duty to make ourselves the neighbor of every individual, without exception, and to take positive steps to help a neighbor whom we encounter, whether that neighbor be an elderly person, abandoned by everyone, a foreign worker who suffers the injustice of being despised, a refugee, an illegitimate child wrongly suffering for a sin of which the child is innocent, or a starving human being who awakens our conscience by calling to mind the words of Christ: ‘As long as you did it for one of these, the least of my brethren, you did it for me’ (Matthew 25:40)” (Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, 27, Austin Flannery translation).
Through Christ Our Lord,
Pat

* Evangelize: Make room for unbelievers & re-evangelization of self, by way of prayer (relationship) and following Christ’s example of love (service/sacrifice/mercy). Matt 28:19.
