Jimmy’s Reflections:  We are 5 days into the Easter Season. Over the last 2 months perhaps you pulled out your Bible to read and meditate on the ministry of Jesus prior to His death. Perhaps you incorporated some scripture and/or some Christ-centered music into your prep and actual running in the A-Cross America Relay. Perhaps you and/or members of your family took a short vacation; or attended church services prior to Easter. Now everyone is back into what appears to be ordinary routines. For members of some Christian churches, this talk should be preposterous. Yet reality sets in. We are all getting back to busy; unless we are there already. There can be a sense of comfort in the busyness. Or a sense of comfort in preparing for your next running workout. Or a sense of comfort in thinking that you have God figured out. Having been involved in reading the Bible for over 30 years, there has developed a sense, in me, that I understand the Scriptures. That I am comfortable with where I am at. And what if, during the comfort of busyness, you have an encounter with the Almighty?  Just as the Apostles did after Jesus’ resurrection. It would be sad to learn if some of those in the room with Jesus “had God figured out” when Jesus arrived. Where are you: in your busyness? In your comfort zone?
