30 Mar Runs to Emmaus (Lk 24:15-16) by Mike Rackers
While they were talking and discussing, Jesus Himself approached and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. ~ Lk 24:15-16

Reflection: The story of the Walk to Emmaus is one of my favorite Bible passages. Jesus walking with two of His disciples, incognito. How do you walk 7 miles with Jesus and not recognize Him? I do it every day in my daily walk through life, and because of that I don’t recognize those suffering or in need. If I’m honest with myself, I may not want my eyes opened in these many opportunities because I’m afraid of what I may be called to do. Maybe I’m lazy. I want to be comfortable. I don’t want to sacrifice. In reflecting on this passage I can say that over the past year and a half since I became a LIFE Runner, I have been blessed to have participated on Runs to Emmaus. Our hearts (and lungs) burn as we discuss our faith on this spiritual exercise.
Challenge: Find your Road to Emmaus. Go for a run, walk or drive this Easter Season and discuss your faith.
