05 Nov Selfless Vote (Phil 2:3-4) by Dr. Rich Reich
“Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others.” ~ Phil 2:3-4 (full readings)
Rich’s Reflections: During this presidential election season we have been bombarded with campaign literature and commercials trying to lure us into their favor by tempting our selfish desires (e.g., more jobs, better education, improved economy). With all of this political rhetoric, we can get lost in ourselves and forget those whose lives are at stake. This election, humbly regard others as more important than yourself. REMEMBER The Unborn and cast your vote for those who have no voice. Lord, please pour out a spirit of humility upon Your people as we approach this election day. Amen.
