Bonnie’s Reflections:  All three readings today can give us inspiration and reassurance in our pro-life work.  St. Paul says to the Corinthians: “Thus should one regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God…for He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts…” As defenders of life we are defenders of a great mystery: the human person created in the image of God.  In our modern world there are forces that seem to cheapen human life, regarding human population as blight on the earth.  But God will bring to light the dignity and value of the human person, even the small unborn person.  Be of good cheer!  Psalm 37 tells us today:  He will make justice dawn for you like the light; bright as the noonday sun shall be your vindication.  For the Lord loves what is right, And forsakes not His faithful ones.  And lastly today we have Christ speaking of the “new wine” that must be poured into new wine skins. Fr. Thomas Keating calls the fruits of the Holy Spirit “the new wine of the Gospels” that fill us with divine energy and a certain spontaneity.  This is not license, but an every-increasing sensitivity to the initiatives of the Spirit.  Life Runners, keep running and keep allowing God to transform our hearts!
