23 Mar Speak Life (Is 50:4) by Alice Chapman
The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. ~ Is 50:4
Reflections: There are many voices joining in the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice debate. Some are calm and loving, some are angry and scornful. Some lay out thought-provoking rationale, and some simply provoke divisiveness and rage. But in this cacophony of voices, LIFE Runners are perfectly positioned to speak truth and rouse awareness to those who need to hear the message. We are in all 50 U.S. states and in 25 countries. Our “well-trained” tongues can be at the same time quiet reminders of the sanctity of human life (when we wear our jerseys in public) and very audible (when we talk about life with others in our communities). Some people in the Pro-Life movement are especially eloquent communicators, and we absolutely need those gifted speakers to boldly speak truth. But that should not discourage the rest of us from gently, persistently sharing the truth where and when we have the opportunity. God has given us “well-trained” tongues and will supply us with words to speak to the weary.
Challenge: Look for an opportunity today to share an encouraging or instructive word to someone in your circle of influence.
Pray LIFE Runners Creed to End Abortion.
Inspiration: “Though it’s crazy, amazing, we can turn a heart with the words we say. Mountains crumble with every syllable. Hope can live or die.” Toby Mac
