“He shall judge between the nations, and set terms for many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again.” ~ Isaiah 2:4 (full readings)
Rich’s Reflections: The selected quote from Isaiah speaks about tools of destruction (swords and spears) being transformed into tools of fruitfulness (plowshares and pruning hooks). This made me think about the many stories of people who have worked for the abortion mills (tools of destruction) who quit being pro-abortion after witnessing its destructiveness. In their conversion they became tools of fruitfulness, supporting the pro-life movement in saving and not destroying families. These conversions required the person to do two things: forsake sin and open themselves to love. Lord, I pray that those who are involved in the abortion industry have a conversion. That they become fully aware of sin and the destructive nature of abortion, and that they open themselves to Your love. Amen.
