Reflection: Today’s Psalm truly speaks to the heart of our pro-life message.  As advocates for life, our goal is to reach the hearts of those facing crisis pregnancies as well as those families who have been hurt by the lies of abortion.  Through Psalm 34 we are reminded that the Lord is right beside us in this effort.  Just like Jesus Christ, we are called to reach out to women in trouble or distress.  We are called to support expectant mothers through encouragement, guidance and continued contributions to pregnancy help centers.  We are also called to provide healing support to anyone touched by the tragedy of abortion.  Only the Lord can completely heal and deliver those affected by this epidemic in our society, but we can be a voice of love and support – not condemnation.  As we continue to persevere through the forty days of lent and the A-Cross America Relay, let us continue to reflect on the purpose of our running/walking.  May we show respect for all human life as we witness with fitness for the unborn.  We may never know whose lives we touch through our message, but we can rest assured that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and those who are crushed in spirit He saves.”

Challenge:  “We run as a Prayer.”  Use your running/walking time to pray for those affected by abortion so that they might find peace and healing through Jesus Christ.

Inspiration:  God can do wonders with a broken heart if you give Him all the pieces.
