18 May The Father is with Me (Jn 16:32-33) by Scott Casmer
“Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” ~ Jn 16:32-33 (full readings)
.
Scott’s Reflections: Today’s verse reminds us that we are never alone. It is God’s promise that He will always be with us throughout the many trials we face. In this reading, Jesus tells His disciples that they will not be alone as they scatter. He is with them as they bring His message to their families, friends, and those they encounter in town and as they travel. As we bring the Pro-Life message with us to others, we too must remember that even though the path may look difficult to us at times, God has cleared the way by conquering the world.
