05 Dec [1st Wed] Sights and Sounds (Is 40:30) by Diane Overmann
Though young men faint and grow weary, and youths stagger and fall, they that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. ~ Is 40:30-31

Reflection: We see the Salvation Army kettles being filled. Parish giving trees are opening hearts. The March for Life and Walk for Life continues. LIFE Runners race on. Children look in wonder at the crib. Homeless are invited to feast. Family and friends embrace. Food pantries are filled. Even McDonald’s is closed on Christmas Day. So many years have passed since God sent the message to Isaiah to tell us to hope in the Lord. So many years have passed since a Savior was born Who is Christ the Lord. As we approach the darkest time of the earthly year, I choose to believe in the Light. I choose to believe that abortion will end. Peace will come as the King of Glory comes and the nations rejoice. I am one small voice saying “I believe.” Please join me.
