11 Jan Us against the World (1 Jn 5:5) ++++++++++++ by Rosemary Bernth

Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). Leaders. Guest Authors. LIFE Minute radio.

“Who indeed is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” ~ 1 John 5:5 (full readings)

Rosemary’s Reflections: It seems every cartoon villain has his or her own plan to take over the world:  mind control, weapons, deception, the list can go on and on. But we all know the good-natured hero or heroine swoops in to put a stop to it. These comic superheroes gained the respect and trust of the people they protect. Yet a real superhero walked this earth…Jesus Christ. He cured the sick, fed the hungry, and paid the ultimate price to save us from our sins. His example is one we must follow if we are to change this world and not be swallowed by its lies. Planned Parenthood pretends to be a hero for women but only offers pain and lies. We need to change the hearts of those seeking abortions through compassion and truth, both found in Christ our Savior. Go and be a hero for the unborn!
