Sign up for one of the Air Force races  before March 1st or it will likely be too late.  Here’s why…

2014 Air Force 1K/5K/half/full Marathon is Sept 20th but Expected to Sell Out in March.  LIFE Runners – we need you to sign up before March 1, 2014 (Register here); otherwise, you risk not getting in the race.  This is the last national race that will be centrally located for two years (2015 Long Beach, 2016 Philadelphia).  Don’t miss out – sign up now.  March 1st is the LIFE Runner deadline for the 2014 Air Force race.  More info here.  FLYER.

March for Life and Nellie Gray 5K run/walk

Two weeks away – Jan 22nd – there’s still time to get the word out about the Nellie Gray 5K run/walk!  There is about 100 signed up to date.  REGISTER for the race here, and then distribute this FLYER to any groups you know of that are going to the March for Life.   Here’s a MAP of the course and even more info can be found here.

Following the Nellie Gray 5K is the big and bold March for Life (650,000 strong in 2013) – the largest pro-life gathering in the world!  Hoping to see a lot of LIFE Runners there for this historic event.  Check out the LIFE Runners Information Sheet/Trip Itinerary and Map of Key Places both great tools for anyone planning to attend.   We are going to be covering a lot of ground so know where to be and when.  Want a real shot of motivation??? West Coast Walk For Life and Law of Life Summit (San Francisco)

We are coming to California on January 24 & 25, 2014.  That’s right, and we want you to join us at the West Coast Walk for Life and the Law of Life Summit.

Here’s the LIFE Runners ITINERARY  for these great events.  Meet the LIFE Runners on the steps of the San Francisco City Hall to walk behind the LIFE Runners banner. We will assemble there at 11:15 on January 25, and then attend the rally across the street which begins at 12:30. Check out the MAP for location. This event is the 2nd largest pro-life gathering in the country. Last year it drew 50,000.  That’s pretty remarkable for one of the most hostile places in the country with regards to protecting and respecting human life. LIFE Runners wants to create a big blue sea of “REMEMBER The Unborn” jerseys in the midst of this awesome mass of pro-lifers. Register to get official updates from WCWFL.

 

Held the day before the March for Life (DC) and the Walk for Life (San Francisco). LIFE Runners president and co-founder Dr. Pat Castle is emceeing and LIFE Runners vp communications, Anne Carmichael and vp fundraising, Rob Rysavy are scheduled speakers.  The DC Law of Life Summit has drawn a large LIFE Runners contingency each of the last 3 years in DC.  Hope to see a lot of blue shirts at the first ever San Francisco Summit.  Register for one or both here  (event is free – registration is required).

LIFE Runners A-Cross America Relay

The epic LIFE Runners A-Cross America Relay is also getting ready to take off!  That’s right – 1,103 legs (~5K each) for 4,089 miles over 40 days starting in both San Francisco and New York City on March 5th.   The route goes by abortion facilities for prayer with 40 Days for Life groups.  The East Coast and West Coast Arms will unite at the Sioux Falls (SD) Cathedral on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014.   Be sure to sign yourself up for one or more of the 5K legs, but also get others involved too.  Check out this FAQ that will maybe answer any questions you or others may have about this trek across the country.  Here is a  FLYER  you can distribute to others and a BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT for your church community.  More info on relay and signup here. Chapters

As you are making plans for March for Life, Nellie Gray 5K, A-Cross America Relay, Air Force 1K/5K/Half/Full Marathon, remember to alert the community and the press.  Find helpful tools to do so here.  These are all opportunities to grow your chapters.  LIFE Runners had their largest growth last year from the Relay.  Raise awareness in your community.  Start at your Church with bulletin announcements and other tools mentioned, and then work to larger more secular groups.  The local friendly press also play a role (an important one), don’t forget about them in your planning.  Tell them if you have teammates attending these national races/events.  LIFE Runners now has more than 1,800 members from 46 states and 10 foreign countries.  Check out our new interactive chapters MAP.
