Welcome God now with this LIFE Group Devotion (FB), provided by LIFE Runners (FB). LeadersGuest Authors. LIFE Minute radio.

“For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” ~  Matthew 6:21 (full readings)

Steve’s Reflections:  Where is your treasure?  This question could be broadened to: where do you invest your time and money?  It is precisely these things that the Lord says captivate our hearts.  Jesus wants our hearts, undivided and free.  In the previous verse Jesus tells us to build up treasure in heaven where neither moth nor decay nor thieves can destroy.  Bottom line, the material things of this world are fleeting.  When it’s all been said and done only the treasure we have stored up in heaven will remain.  St. Thomas More new precisely where his treasure lie as he lay down his life to defend the truth of the Church.  He placed God above all matters…even his own life.  As we reflect on the battle against abortion, let us make strides to stand in the gap by investing our treasure (time, talent, and finances) to help woman make life affirming choices.
